LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Parks Alliance of Louisville announced ticket sales for its annual Jack O’Lantern spectacular, a fall favorite immersive pumpkin experience that draws thousands to Iroquois Park each year.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Aug. 30. The event is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Parks Alliance of Louisville, which promotes equitable investments in the city’s public parks. The Park Alliance says last year’s event drew over 110,000 visitors, contributing more than $2.9 million in economic impact.
The Jack O’Lantern Spectacular is in its 12th year and will run from Oct. 1 to Nov. 2 at Iroquois Park. The theme this year is “Trivia Night: Pumpkin Edition,” and will test guest’s knowledge as they meander through the woods, lined with a multitude of artistically carved and locally sourced pumpkins.
Visitors will be quizzed on art history, music, folklore and more. They can challenge their friends as they wind their way through the Jack O’Lantern Spectacular trail.
“Not only is this an organic art experience in the historic woods of Iroquois Park, but your ticket supports the Parks Alliance and enhances our public parks,” said Brooke Pardue, president/CEO of the Parks Alliance of Louisville. “This event enables us to improve the health and wellbeing of our entire community through projects such as Parks For All, Alberta O. Jones Park and many more.”
The spectacular will be open from dusk to 10 p.m., Sundy through Thursday, and from dusk to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Timed ticketing is available for every night of the show to reduce crowds and traffic.
Prices for Sunday-Thursday tickets are: $15 for adults, $13 for seniors 65+, $12 for children 3-12. Tickets for Friday-Saturday are: $20 for adults, $17 for seniors 65+, $15 for children 3-12.
The Sunday-Thursday 9:30 p.m. time slot will be offered at $2 off regular price. Children 2 and under are free.
The entrance to the event is at 1080 Amphitheater Road, at the intersection of New Cut and Kenwood. Additional parking will be available at DeSales High School on Kenwood Drive.
