KENTUCKY — The Haunted Attraction Association released its list of the 2023 top haunts across the U.S., which included these three from Kentucky:

Louisville

The Haunted Hotel

3000 S 4th St., Louisville, Ky. 40208

This haunted attraction has a clear message for visitors: "There are no limits in our haunted hotel."

In there, it's possible for all guests to be touched due to tight spaces around the attraction. They also stated that safety is their No. 1 priority, and the actors are trained for the scare factor, while also the safety factor. 

No unaccompanied minors will be allowed in. This attraction is open Fridays and Saturdays throughout September, as well as Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout October. It'll also be open Halloween night.

Eastview

Sinister Tombs Haunted House

3246 Meeting Creek Rd., Eastview, Ky. 42732

Eastview, Kentucky was founded in 1870 and quickly became a prospering town. Then, according to Sinister Tombs organizers, a train crashed with important Native American artifacts and other cargo nearby. This caused the haunted Hardin County town to be haunted by a plethora of ghosts and decades of bad luck.

The Sinister Tombs is open every Friday and Saturday through Nov. 4. Tickets, including double-take and speed passes, can be purchased online.

Shelbyville

Black Orchard Haunted House

Red Orchard Park, 704 Kentucky St., Shelbyville, Ky. 40065

Guests will meet brothers Stitch and Theodore Black, who have control of the family business at the Black Orchard. They seek revenge for their brother, Silas, who they say was captured for murder and other crimes. 

This haunted house is open starting Sept. 29, and will operate every Friday and Saturday. Tickets can be purchased online.
