LOUISVILLE, Ky. — 'Tis the season for holiday fun and this weekend, cities across Kentucky are ready to celebrate.

Light Up Louisville returns Saturday, Dec. 2. There will be the “Lots of Lights” parade followed by the lighting of the 45-foot Norway-spruce tree at 7:45 p.m. ET. Lexington’s annual Christmas parade is also Saturday, Dec. 2. The event begins at 11 a.m. ET.

The parade route runs along Main Street.

It’s a great opportunity to come get a little exercise, try on some skates, maybe try something you haven’t done or something you’re super good at and just have a great time downtown,” said Director of Development & Events for Downtown Lexington Partnership Laura Farnsworth.

In Bowling Green there is Light Up BGKY . Friday, Dec. 1, there will be a light-up event from 5 to 8 p.m. CT and on Dec. 2 there is a Christmas parade at 9:30 a.m. CT.
