ORLANDO, Fla. — Universal Orlando on Monday unveiled an official first look inside its new Epic Universe park, which is set to open in May.
The attraction’s grand opening for its fourth theme park is scheduled for May 22 and will include five themed worlds: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, Dark Universe and Celestial Park.
Here is a detailed look at each of the five highly anticipated worlds, according to Universal Orlando officials:
The Chronos – the icon of Universal Epic Universe

Guests can begin their Epic Universe journey by entering the Chronos portal, which acts as a gateway to the immersive park. Celestial Park is the first world that will greet park goers, where they can hop on a shooting comet for a roller coaster adventure, enjoy food and beverages, visit retail shops and more.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic
Visitors of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic can “journey from a Muggle park in Paris into the breathtaking spectacle of 1920’s Place Cachée – a hidden, bustling shopping district in wizarding Paris.” This world offers a variety of dining options, including Café L’air De La Sirène, as well as retail spots such as Les Galeries Mirifiques. There will also be live entertainment, like Le Cirque Arcanus — a full-scale theatre experience, and more. Park goers can also ride “Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry” to witness the trial of Dolores Umbridge at the British Ministry of Magic.
Super Nintendo World

Nintendo fans can venture into Super Nintendo World through the classic “Warp Pipe,” and be surrounded by their favorite characters including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, Donkey Kong and more. Guests can look forward to interactive experiences and iconic spots, like Mount Beanpole.
How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk

Guests can journey into How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk, which Universal Orlando describes as a “real-life version of the iconic sweeping vista straight from the wildly popular ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ films.” Park goers will be greeted with a sparkling lagoon, two 40-foot-tall Viking statues and a vibrant village. Many viking-themed experiences await for fans, which include “flying on a dragon” on Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, participating in a Fyre Drill boat battle, taking pictures with Toothless and more.
Dark Universe

Visitors can step into Dark Universe and venture through Darkmoor, which is home to Universal Monster legends including Dracula, The Wolf Man, Frankenstein’s Monster and more. Guests can enter Frankenstein Manor and anticipate experiences such as “Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment,” which Universal Orlando officials call its “most chilling attraction ever.”
