If you’re like me and are not a fan of the cold winter months, I have you covered. I visited Cartagena, Colombia in December and it sure was nice to warm up
I wanted to go to on a sunny, warm beach vacation and Cartagena was the perfect spot for my husband and me.
The main reason we chose Colombia was to visit my husband's relatives.
Colombia has all kinds of weather depending on the region. Cartagena, by the coast, has a tropical wet and dry climate.
Average high temperatures all year round are in the upper 80s. I found out that December and January are their popular months for visitors coming from cities that are experiencing winter.
From the beautiful scenery to the delicious food, if you ask me personally, Colombia has it all.

The Hawaiian islands are a popular spot for Californians not only because of the weather but because of the proximity - it’s only a five to six-hour flight to Honolulu.
