ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — The average gas price in Orange County is now $3.49 per gallon. That’s seven cents higher than a week ago and the highest level it’s been since March 9 of last year, according to the Auto Club of Southern California.
The average price of self-service regular gas in the L.A.-Long Beach area is $3.50 per gallon. That’s six cents more than last week and 26 cents higher than last month.
“The extra cost of producing the summer blend of gasoline is now being priced into the market,” Auto Club spokesman, Jeffrey Spring, said in a statement. “Supply of California gasoline will continue to be an issue in coming months and years as local refineries work to comply with increased pollution restrictions in the state.”
