POMONA, Calif. — A three-day series of connector, on-ramp and lane closures on the Chino Valley (71) and Pomona (60) freeways in Pomona for road repair work is scheduled to begin Monday, Caltrans announced.

On Monday and Thursday, the Rio Rancho Road on-ramp to the eastbound Pomona Freeway will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the westbound Pomona Freeway connector to the northbound Chino Valley Freeway from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., the westbound Pomona Freeway connectors to the northbound and southbound Chino Valley Freeway from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and the northbound Chino Valley Freeway mainline No. 2 lane from Rio Rancho Road to Mission Boulevard from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

On Friday, the Rio Rancho Road on-ramp to the eastbound Pomona Freeway will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the westbound Pomona Freeway connector to the northbound Chino Valley Freeway from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and the westbound Pomona Freeway connectors to the northbound and southbound Chino Valley Freeway from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Drivers should expect delays and are strongly advised to avoid the area, use alternate routes and check traffic conditions before leaving at quickmap.dot.ca.gov.
