LOS ANGELES – As the Los Angeles Lakers players were putting up shots to warm up for the game, young Lakers fans got shots of a special moment before the game.

“As my first Lakers Game it’s really fun to hang around with my friends and have a good time,” said Andrew Gordetto.

A nice way for him to spend an evening out considering everything he’s been through in the last few months.

Gordetto was one of several Saugus High school students who were wounded when a student came to school and open fired in the middle of the courtyard.

Since then, he along with the other surviving students and many members of the community have banded together under the phrase Saugus Strong and it’s that unity that keeps them going. Which made Monday night extra special for them to all be at the game together.

“That’s really the point of being here is to have fun and support a school,” said Gordetto.

They got to meet Lakers Great AC Green, who says that he’s happy to play a small part in their healing process.

“It’s an honor to really thank and be part of once again our Laker family just trying to reach out and be a part of the community and do the things in the community that really make a difference that really matter,” said Green.

They also got to take to the court before the game as members of the Lakers high five squad.

“Best time of my life high fiving the entire Laker team.  Amazing,” said Gordetto.

He said it was such a special honor.

“It makes me feel happy and supported that we have everyone in the community and everyone here supporting us it makes me feel really happy,” said Gordetto.
