Hospitals will be a critical need once a major earthquake strikes.

In California, state seismic safety standards require hospitals to not only be seismically sound but operational by 2030.

Eric Schilt, the vice president of planning design and construction with Loma Linda University Health, says the organization has invested $1.3 billion to meet those standards, but there’s still more work to be done.
