BURBANK, Calif. — Fire crews made quick work Friday of a fire that erupted in a building on the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank, briefly sending a thick plume of black smoke into the air.

According to the Burbank Fire Department, fire crews responded to the 4300 block of West Olive Avenue shortly after 1:35 p.m.

The blaze began in an electrical transformer, according to fire officials.

The flames were doused by shortly after 2 p.m. After the fire was out, crews responded to at least one report of people trapped in an elevator on the studio lot, where some power was apparently knocked out due to the transformer issue.

There were no reports of any injuries, and the fire remains under investigation.
