CULVER CITY, Calif. — Motorists were advised to avoid the area of Sepulveda Boulevard and Slauson Avenue, as Southern California Edison investigates an explosion in the area.
The Culver City Police Department said it was an underground electrical vault explosion, but no injuries were reported.
The explosion caused damage to the road, police said. Eastbound Slauson Avenue, from Sepulveda Boulevard, is shut down, and traffic will be affected for several hours, police said.
There was no damage to nearby buildings reported.
