LOS ANGELES (CNS) — An estimated 100 plus people attended a Black Lives Matter rally in Pan Pacific Park Sunday in the Fairfax area that led to a march later protesting police abuse and violence.

The BLM rally at Pan Pacific Park, at 7600 Beverly Blvd., began around 3 p.m. and lasted more than an hour, according to media reports.

"Our justice system is really screwed up," Kim Isaacs said. "People can show their support for Black and brown people by coming out to these kinds of demonstrations."

The rallygoers began a march that led the to the intersection of Third Street and Fairfax Avenue in the Fairfax district, according to Los Angeles police.

LAPD officers then directed traffic away from that intersection so that demonstrators could peacefully "exercise their First Amendment Rights," the LAPD reported.

The demonstrators then marched on Third, according to media reports.

There were no immediate reports of violence or arrests.
