SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Gov. Gavin Newsom has tested positive for COVID.

A spokesman with his office on Wednesday night said he’s experiencing mild symptoms and will self isolate for five days.

His State of the State tour is still on for next week, March 16 to 19.

In a statement, his Deputy Communications Director Alex Stack said: “Today, the Governor tested positive for COVID-19 after exhibiting mild symptoms. The Governor will work remotely and self-isolate, in accordance with CDPH guidance.”
