INGLEWOOD, Calif. – It is the perfect shade of Dodger blue, then drizzled with white icing for the L.A. logo, creating a very special donut during baseball playoffs.
"I mean it's all about the Dodgers to be honest,” said Ishmael Garcia.
"It's all about the Dodgers," said Thomas Bartsch.
"Since they've been in finals," said Garcia.
Head baker Ishmael Garcia along with Vice President of Marketing Thomas Bartsch know that Dodger fans love the specialty donuts to support their team.
During the postseason they will make the donuts in addition to more than 50 other varieties, but they tend to sell out fast.
"So when we make up Dodger donuts, we make up several hundred a day. It's limited supplies only we can't continually make them but we want to make sure that we supply them to support the brand, the team, and our local fans," said Bartsch.
The creation is labor intensive, but it is guaranteed to be made with a lot of love for Dodger fans. Once the dough is perfect, the donuts are cut and put into the fryer. Dodger donuts are filled with cream, but can also be ordered with jelly, and the filling is what Garcia thinks is their secret weapon.

"They make more delicious. We can put in whatever they want. It can be raspberry, lemon, bavarian, or even apple,” said Garcia.
Each donut is decorated by hand, and ready for fans to come pick them up.
"When they know we have Dodger donuts, they come here and start lining up down the street. What's important is they take them to work, they take them to school, they take them to events, they take them to the games and share them so it's really exciting," said Bartsch.
Randy's Donuts is one of the most iconic locations in L.A. known for the giant donut on the roof. They use their fame to add extra buzz to the local L.A. sports teams when they are in the playoffs.
"There are some great teams that do great things so why not support them with donuts," said Bartsch.
Fans donut know what they would do, without the traditional treat making the Dodgers season a little sweeter as they try to win it all.
