LOS ANGELES — Whether a pet can swim, walk or slither, they all share a special bond that can never be replaced in a pet owner's heart.

To honor animals that have passed, the Los Angeles Zoo — in partnership with Plaza de la Raza Cultural Center for the Arts & Education — offered visitors a chance to remember their pets with free photo printouts, drawing stations and a space to place items on the Beloved Pets Ofrenda ahead of the Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead.

The Ofrenda will be available until Nov. 2.
