With the number of deaths and injuries growing from the devastating wildfires burning in West Maui, those looking to send help have a few options.
Maui United Way
The organization is accepting online monetary donations to benefit Maui residents affected by fires.
Maui Strong Fund
The fund was started by the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation to support residents. Donations can be made here.
American Red Cross
The Red Cross is also providing disaster relief. To donate, visit their website.
War Memorial Complex
Those wanting to make non-monetary donations such as non-perishable food, bottle water, hygiene items and blankets can do so by dropping them off at the War Memorial Complex from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday.
The coordinators ask that donations be dropped off at the field on the left and for people to enter the complex through Kanaloa Avenue.
Maui Humane Society
The society said it was seeking volunteers to foster dogs and was also looking for donations of pet food, pop-up kennels and litter. In a statement posted on Facebook, the group said that donations of supplies could be dropped off directly at the Maui Humane Society location on the island, or delivered through its Amazon wishlist.
