PALM DESERT, Calif. — As travelers seek out to experience the Coachella Valley's iconic cacti and succulents, The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens and the Palm Springs International Airport have a new display reminding passengers not to take desert plants from the area and the impacts it can have if they do.
The zoo is designated as one of the nation's Plant Rescue Centers that receives confiscated plants that are believed to be illegally trafficked during shipment inspections.
