PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — Mariah Carey will take her Mariah Carey's Christmas Time tour to Acrisure Arena Wednesday.

In addition to five Grammy wins and a five-octave range, Carey has been intrinsically linked to holiday spirit with her No. 1 single "All I Want for Christmas is You" from 1994.

On Tuesday, the city of Palm Springs issued a proclamation declaring Nov. 13 to be "Mariah Carey Day," in honor of the veteran pop star's upcoming performance. Mayor Jeffrey Bernstein officially recognized the "Queen of Christmas" in a statement.

"We are delighted to celebrate Mariah Carey's remarkable achievements and honor her as a treasured member of our community," the mayor said. "Her music has brought warmth, hope and unity to Palm Springs and beyond, and we are proud to mark the start of the holiday season with 'Mariah Carey Day."'

After Carey's 7:30 p.m. show, the tour is set to continue with shows in Phoenix and Austin, Texas.
