EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Jennifer Lopez has decided to cancel her summer tour.
“Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends,” Live Nation representatives said in a statement.
The singer and actor addressed Live Nation's announcement Friday via her OnTheJLo newsletter.
"I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down," Lopez's post to her fans read. "Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…"
The tour was to be her first in five years, in support of her first solo album in a decade, “This Is Me.... Now" and its companion film.
For those who purchased through Ticketmaster, tickets will automatically be refunded, and there is nothing further fans need to do, according to Live Nation. Those who purchased via third-party resale sites such as SeatGeek, StubHub and VividSeats, should reach out to their point of purchase for more details.
