EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Oh, the places you’ll go this weekend might include a new interactive immersion in Santa Monica.
Opening to the public Friday, The Dr. Seuss Experience transports guests through a sensory spectacle that includes installations of nine different worlds from the timeless children’s books. There also will be opportunities for kids — and adults who are true fans, of course — to meet some of the characters, such as the infamous Grinch, as if they’re right there in the stories themselves.
Highlights include:
- Joining the Circus McGurkus
- Swinging from Truffula Trees from "The Lorax"
- Navigating the Stars Upon Thars Sneetches Mirror Maze from "The Sneetches"
- Exploring the towering clovers while listening closely for a Who from "Horton Hears a Who!"
Also on-site is a nostalgic Dr. Seuss Museum with original artwork and books along with a reading theater for guests to listen to their Seuss favorites.
The experience, which will run for a limited time, is located at the Santa Monica Place outdoor shopping mall. Tickets are available for purchase here.
