LOS ANGELES — Pick up a putter and head to Quahog. A real-life version of Family Guy’s cartoon-world Giggity Golf putt putt course is coming to downtown Los Angeles. Opening Sep. 22, the Giggity Golf experience includes an eight-hole mini-course for fans to golf their way across the cartoon’s universe, experiencing iconic scenes as they attempt to sink their shots.
Before and after golfing on the indoor/outdoor course, people who’ve paid $29 for the experience will be able to dine at the Drunken Clam bar and Eat My Junk food truck, where, for an extra fee, they can dine on panini car sandwiches, hamburgers and jelly donut combos, Lois’s homemade cookies and hot dog straws.
Giggity Golf is a joint venture between two experiential event companies: Bucket Listers, which created the Golden Girls Kitchen and The Malibu Barbie Café and Superfly, which developed the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival and The Friends Experience.
“We can’t wait for this talented team to bring to life one of the great animated series in Family Guy,” Superfly co-founder Kerry Black said in a statement. “We know the evil monkey is watching!”
Family Guy will kick off its 22nd season on FOX on Oct. 1, days after the Giggity Golf course swings into action in LA. Tickets are available through Bucket Listers.
