LOS ANGELES (CNS) — The Producers Guild of America Awards Thursday joined the ranks of Hollywood galas being postponed due to the surge in COVID-19 infections.
The 33rd annual award show, originally set for Feb. 26, was postponed until March 19. The event will be held at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City.
"The Producers Guild of America is working closely with government officials and health experts to implement strict COVID-19 safety protocols to help protect the health and safety of all staff and attendees," according to a guild statement. "At this time, the following will be required for attendance: proof of the COVID-19 vaccination and booster, if eligible, as well as a recent negative COVID-19 test."
Due to the change, nominations in the children's, sports and short-form categories will be announced next Tuesday, and those honors will be presented during nominee celebrations in Los Angeles and New York the week of March 15.
