Pinball wizards, get out your credit cards. The largest museum of pinball and arcade games in the world is auctioning off its collection of 1,700 machines.
Starting at 3 p.m. Friday and running through two weekends, the six-day online auction includes 700 rare and vintage pinball machines and 1,000 classic arcade games. The items up for sale date back as far back as the ‘50s and run the gamut from Rocky to Spider-Man and other movie-themed machines to dancing and driving games like Dance Dance Revolution and Mario Cart.
The sale, conducted by Captain’s Auction Warehouse in Anaheim, will be held through a livestream with real-time online bidding from the Museum of Pinball in Banning, Calif. Bidders who pay $300 up front can also attend in person and preview what’s for sale two hours before each day’s auction begins.
