Meet the team that will represent California in the “Spectrum News Challenge.”

Quincy

High school: Marymount High School

Accomplishments: Quincy was named webmaster for her school’s Model United Nations team. She is also captain and MVP of the varsity tennis team, and part of the robotics club.

Fun fact: Quincy is the founder and president of her school’s video game club.

Isabel

High school: Cams High School

Accomplishments: Isabel is the associated student body president-elect for the 2022/2023 school year, founder and president of her school’s “Dear Asian Youth” chapter and vice president of the drama club.

Fun fact: Isabel can speak five languages, Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Conversational Korean and English.

Samuel

High school: Geffen Academy At UCLA

Accomplishments: Samuel is the founder of his school’s Model United Nations team, plays gold and is on the cross country and swimming team, and has been in the scouts for 6 years.

Fun fact: Samuel’s goal is to visit all 50 states, and he’s been to 36 so far.
