Meet the team that will represent California in the “Spectrum News Challenge.”
Zach
High school: Viewpoint High School
Accomplishments: Zach is a member of the school’s Quiz Bowl team, and the founder and president of the 3D printing club. He also plays varsity tennis.
Fun fact: Zach has been playing the piano for 13 years.
Colette
High school: Viewpoint High School
Accomplishments: Colette is captain of her school’s Quiz Bowl team, leads the school’s S.T.E.M. club and is captain of the varsity soccer team.
Fun fact: Colette is an active member of the film department, having written and directed a handful of projects.
Riley
High school: Viewpoint High School
Accomplishments: Riley is a closing prosecutor on the Mock Trial team, founded the feminism club and is part of the model United Nations.
Fun fact: Riley has been trained in stage combat.
