RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. — Officials say two-wheeled vehicles, including motorcycles and bicycles, will soon be banned from riding along a precarious 0.8-mile stretch of Palos Verdes Drive South along Portuguese Bend due to safety concerns.

They say conditions are changing almost daily, as ongoing land movement wreaks havoc on roadways and buildings in the area.

Cyclists say the ban is unnecessary and discriminatory, and they don't believe the city will be able to enforce it.
