Anna Albaryan is thrilled to be a part of the Spectrum News 1 SoCal team, where she reports on housing, homelessness, transportation and other key issues that impact her hometown.
Born and raised in the heart of Los Angeles, Anna’s family moved to Hollywood in the early '90s to flee the collapsing Soviet regime. She is a daughter of Armenian immigrants, a proud barrister (John Marshall High class of 2009), and always roots for the Dodgers!
Before joining Spectrum News 1, Anna was a producer and writer at KTLA-5, where she earned an Emmy Award for her writing on the station’s 10 p.m. newscast. Before that, she worked as a freelance reporter for LA Weekly, LA Magazine, attn.com, and COAST Magazine.
When she’s not chasing a story, Anna is listening to live music, discovering new restaurants, rewatching the Harry Potter series, or binge-watching a baking competition show. You can find Anna on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.
