IRVINE, Calif. — The esports industry is rapidly growing, and it’s now finding its place on college campuses.
Right now, about 170 universities nationwide boast eSports teams and programs, but one of the top programs is located right in Southern California.
The University of California Irvine is keeping its students ahead of the curve with its very own esports arena, catering to the mass appeal of video games amongst its student body — all while helping develop some of the top players in the country.
