FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. – After nearly a decade, Bret Berg, a Fountain Valley resident and believer in extraterrestrial intelligent life, finds theories of ancient astronauts to be convincing, and he is not alone.

Thousands of viewers of the History Channel’s popular show Ancient Aliens has opened up the conversation about aliens and what historical sites might actually depict.

Bret Berg purchased a replica pin of what an ancient civilization portrayed as a bird or theorized as an ancient aircraft of some sort. It is one of many theories that has grabbed his attention.

“This is the representation that the culture took from it and some people believe this to actually be what an alien spacecraft. What the locals believed the alien spacecraft looked like,” Bret Berg said.

When asked about his thoughts on what the depiction looked like, he said, “I have no idea. It sounds good though.”

Topics about ancient civilizations, and pyramids that seem to have similarities across the globe have drawn in thousands of viewers to keep an open mind that there might be more in the universe. Throughout the years, Bret Berg has kept an open mind on the subject and looks forward to learning more on the topic.

“I am ridiculed on occasion. I am agreed with on occasion or disagreed with on occasion. But I don’t have any problems talking to anybody about it,” Bret Berg said.

Bret Berg believes intelligent life might exist beyond Earth. However, his wife Laura Berg needs more proof before she can buy into any of the theories.

“I wouldn’t jump to ancient astronauts. I always go back to how crop circles were such a mystery. People thought aliens were coming down because they thought it was impossible for a human to do it. And then one guy admitted and showed everyone how he was doing the crop circle,” Laura Berg said.

The two have an interesting dynamic, but they are also a reflection of society. After all these years, more people are talking about this once controversial topic openly. But like Laura Berg, many people are still skeptical.

Bret Berg will be one of thousands of viewers who will be at this year’s AlienCon, a three-day convention at the L.A. Convention Center on June 21 through 23. The event brings in theorists, authors, archaeologists, and more to discuss extraterrestrial theories that might have played a role in the past. It is a place where Bret Berg goes to meet like-minded individuals to gain a wider perspective on how everything came to be, despite what some might think.

“For all those naysayers that are out there, I suspect we are going to be hearing more and more about this topic in the years to come. So it’s very exciting,” Bret Berg said.

Laura Berg said she will need more proof before she can buy into any extraterrestrial theories. So Bret Berg will be going to the convention with a friend because he is convinced that some form of extraterrestrial life could playing a role in ours. That is why he is keeping an open mind to what we might not know yet.
