LOS ANGELES (CNS) — The Los Angeles Football Club will conduct Ted Lasso Night at Wednesday evening's sold-out Major League Soccer game against Sporting Kansas City, with giveaways and other themed promotions related to the AppleTV+ soccer comedy.
Cast members Brendan Hunt, Cristo Fernandez and Moe Jeudy-Lamour, along with executive producer Bill Lawrence, are scheduled to appear at the fan fest, which begins at 4 p.m. on Christmas Tree Lane adjacent to Banc of California Stadium and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
The fan fest will include Ted Lasso biscuits, soccer darts, games and a disc jockey.
The first 10,000 fans at Banc of California Stadium will receive a "Ted Lasso" "Believe" rally towel.
Hunt will serve as the honorary falconer. One of the team's four falcons is released before the start of each game for a pregame flight at the center of the field, hunting a lure of the opponent's crest.
Hunt received an outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series Emmy nomination for his portrayal of Coach Beard, Lasso's taciturn longtime assistant and friend.
Hunt also received two outstanding writing for a comedy series Emmy nominations. He is among the series' producers credited with a nomination for "Ted Lasso's" nomination for outstanding comedy series.
