ANAHEIM, Calif. — Disneyland Resort has announced a limited-time special ticket offer that will give children visitors a massive discount for entrance into the Anaheim theme parks early next year.
Starting Oct. 24, people can purchase a child one-day, one-theme park ticket for use from Jan. 8, 2024, to March 10, 2024, for as low as $50 per day — about half off of the lowest-priced Disneyland child ticket.
Child tickets are for those ages three to nine years old.
Disney has a reservation-based tiered ticketing structure, meaning the cost for admission is lower on low-demand days like a midweek in September and jumps up on high-demand days such as weekends, Spring Break, Christmas or other holidays.
A regular child ticket starts at $98 on low-demand days and could go as high as $169 on high-demand days. The standard adult price ticket ranges from $104 to $179.
What the child ticket would cost under this promotion for mid-tier and high-demand days is unclear.
A Disneyland official told Spectrum News Wednesday that Disney would reveal pricing information later.
Disneyland officials said ticket buyers purchasing a child ticket through this promotion could choose from one, two, or three-day park tickets, with upgrades such as a park hopper, which allows the visitor to visit both parks on the same day, and Disney Genie+ service available separately as an add-on.
Disneyland officials did not say whether the park hopper add-on for children or Genie+ would also be discounted. A regular-priced park hopper is an additional $65 on top of the standard ticket price.
The ticket price comes several months after Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro said Disneyland Resort would “significantly increase” the number of days the theme park would offer low-cost ticket days.
The months after the Christmas and New Year holidays typically have the fewest foot traffic and lowest crowds at theme parks. Disney usually offers various ticket deals, such as its SoCal resident discount during the early first half of the year, to entice people to visit the Anaheim theme parks.
