Joseph Pimentel is a veteran watchdog community reporter and award-winning digital journalist covering the business community, real estate, human interest, and theme park industry beats at Spectrum News. 

Joseph has nearly two decades of experience as a Southern California reporter. Joseph has served as a watchdog reporter covering Anaheim, broke the news of Star Wars land coming to Disneyland Resort, reported about Southern California's multi-billion-dollar commercial real estate industry, and wrote features about the Filipino and Asian American community for various newspapers and digital news outlets. 

Joseph has received awards for his reporting from multiple organizations, including the National Association of Real Estate Editors, the Orange County Press Club, New America Media, and the Philippine American Press Club, USA.

As part of an assignment, Joseph once wrote a live running blog for 28 hours straight, covering Disneyland's 24-hour event to kick off Disneyland's 60th anniversary Diamond Celebration.
