The third annual Skate Against Hate event will take place on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. at the Tustin Legacy Skatepark to help educate youth on how to combat race-based hate in the community.

In 2021, community members and organizations such as the OC Justice Initiative came together to rally against hate after an alleged hate crime took place at the skate park.

In 2022, hate crime reports increased by 20% in the state of California, according to the California Department of Justice.
