LOS ANGELES — A Keck Medicine of USC clinical trial is testing the use of at-home immunotherapy treatments for patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

During the clinical trial, nurses will travel to patient’s homes once every three weeks for up to two years to give a formulated dose of immunotherapy medication through an injection right under the skin. Patients also will be monitored through telehealth and wearable tech.

Investigators hope to enroll 37 patients for this trial.

Lung cancer is the second most common cancer in men and women in the United States, according to the American Cancer Society.
