HARBOR CITY, Calif.  – It was a dream senior season for cornerback, Darion Green-Warren. He was a key part of Narbonne's unbeaten record, received a bid to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, and has plenty of college offers to his name.

While his playing career will surely carry on to the college level and beyond, his high school career did end early.

Narbonne was banned from competing in the 2019 playoffs after multiple players were found to be ineligible, violating California Interscholastic Federation bylaws regarding transfer students.

In addition to the ban for this year's playoff competition, the Gauchos were also banned from the 2020 playoffs and were put on probation through the 2022-2023 school year. The district also made the decision to cancel Narbonne's senior night, a heartbreaking turn of events for many of the program's top players.

Spectrum News 1 caught up with Green-Warren at one of his training sessions where he discussed his disappointment in CIF's ruling about his team, but also looks forward to his own bright future.
