EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles is set to host its annual gala Saturday at the Fairmont Century Plaza.
The "I Wish To Be" event will bring together a community dedicated to transforming the lives of children facing critical illnesses. Make-A-Wish will honor inspirational individuals who have helped grant "wishes" throughout the past year. Actor Anthony Anderson will serve as celebrity host.
Celebrating on Halloween weekend, this year's gala poses the question: "Who or what did you always wish to be?" Attendees are encouraged to come dressed as who or what they wanted to be growing up.
Since its inception in 1983, Make-A-Wish Greater LA has granted more than 10,000 wishes, providing children with a renewed sense of hope, strength and normalcy.
