LOS ANGELES — Over the past two years, actor and activist America Ferrera and Eva Longoria have united with other Latina activists to rally the Latina Vote. Together they formed She Se Puede – a play on the chant, Si Se Puede.

It is a digital lifestyle community to empower Latina women to leverage their power, not just in life in general, but also at the voting booth.

Ferrera has been entrenched in the community with her support for former vice-president Joe Biden and California Senator Kamala Harris. According to Ferrera, before Latinos can vote, they need roadblocks taken down.

"Organizing works, information works, giving people information they need to register to fill out mail-in ballots works," she said.

The She Se Puede Make a Difference Tour has created important conversations with women all over the world. It also has allowed women with massive platforms to join and encourage voting this November.

"Latinas are very motivated to show up and use their power. We can be the deciders in this election," Ferrera said.

It's not just promo videos with A-listers. She Se Puede has boots on the ground going as far as personally helping one woman, in particular, vote for the first time in her life.

While Ferrera's efforts are heightened right now amid this contentious election, she said it is not over after November 3, regardless of the outcome.

Ferrera said she believes no candidate or political party has the long-term interest of Latinos.

"This isn't just about telling Latinas their vote counts," she said. "We have to be telling Latinas their lives count."

Ferrera said she is doing her part to create an America all Latinas are proud to live in, not just during an election year but always.
