BELLFLOWER, Calif. — It has been over 450 days since the defending National Champions, the St. John Bosco Braves, took the field for a live football game.
If you watched the Braves' Saturday night showdown against Sierra Canyon, however, it looked like they were in mid-season form.
In what was the first matchup in school history between two of the state’s top programs, Bosco came out on top 42-21.
Although the Trailblazers took the lead early on, scoring on their opening drive, the Braves — who alternated two quarterbacks over the course of the night — shined on all three levels.
Next up, St. John Boscoe will welcome the Servite Friars to open up Trinity League play, while Sierra Canyon will host Oaks Christian.
