This Month With the Mayor

According to the 2010 census, Los Angeles is home to 3,792,672 souls. The city limits cover an area roughly the size of a small country. Its elected government includes 15 City Council districts with dozens of department and bureaus that regulate and facilitate every aspect of our lives — from aging to the LA Zoo — and everything in between. The elected official who oversees this massive municipal infrastructure is the mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass. Spectrum News 1's Alex Cohen sits down with the mayor to discuss the compelling issues that matter in our communities.
