A total surfer girl, Jo grew up in Southern California and will never stray far from the water. Her favorite things to do are hit the waves (even though she may not always catch them…) and bum around on the beach, soaking up the sun with a book in hand.
Jo has dreamed of being a reporter since she was five. She comes to Spectrum News 1 with over a decade of experience and a true passion for informing and entertaining. Most recently, she was lucky enough to tell the story of a woman who came to the U.S. during the Vietnam War and, at the age of 75, fulfilled her lifelong dream of getting a college degree.
When she’s not at work, you can find Jo spending time with her biggest cheerleaders - her family. Aside from that, you can probably find her making the most of L.A. traffic by pretending she’s a contestant on American Idol, or at the gym, showing off her second degree black belt.
