WAUKESHA, Wis. — Possible human remains were wrapped in a tarp near Frame Park in Waukesha, according to police.
Waukesha Police said they received a call Wednesday from someone who made the discovery in a wooded area.
Around 4:20 p.m., police located what they believed to be human remains around the 1500 block of E. North Street. They were then collected by the Waukesha Police Department and the Waukesha County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police said an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death will be done at a later date.
However, they added an investigation of this sort may take some time.
“We understand the community’s concern and are committed to providing answers as quickly and respectfully as possible,” police said in a release.
