LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A semi-truck overturned and caught fire after a crash on Interstate 65 southbound by the Kennedy Bridge and Spaghetti Junction in Louisville.

Louisville Metro Police say at 12:24 p.m. officers responded to a crash involving a semi-truck on I-65. LMPD says the truck lost control, jackknifed and rolled over and caught fire. The crash caused a portion of the truck’s cab to go over the side of the retaining wall, sending debris falling to roadway below.

All lanes of I-65 southbound reopened at 4:30 p.m.

The truck driver was the only passenger in the cab and died at the scene.

I-65 is closed while cleanup continues and the LMPD traffic unit conducts its investigation. There is no estimate of how long the interstate will remain closed.
