Skies will stay mostly clear tonight ahead of our next weather-maker. With breezy southerly winds, temperatures won’t drop off too far, only into the mid-60s.

A cold front will approach the region tomorrow. Ahead of it, temperatures will surge into the low to mid-80 and we’ll see partly cloudy skies. Clouds will increase during the afternoon as the front gets closer.

Thanks to daytime heating, combined with instability, there is the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms to break out ahead of the front.  Best to have your notifications enabled ahead of severe weather. Late afternoon into the evening, near sunset, is when these storms are expected to develop. Damaging winds and large hail will be the biggest threat from the storms.

Not until late tomorrow night will the front arrive in the area. While the severe threat will decrease overnight, rain and storms, associated with the front, will become more widespread. Temperatures will drop into the upper 50s.
