A strong area of low pressure continues to move closer to us. This morning we are dealing with more rain. with snow already flying across the northern part of the state. Highs across the Milwaukee area will warm into the mid to upper 30s, so hanging on to more rain today. Across parts of Fond du Lac, Sheboygan and Dodge counties, cooler air moves in tonight, so a wintry mix will be possible. Winds today will be another concren, especially closer to Lake Michigan. Winds this afternoon will be strong and out of the East at 15-25 mph.
Tonight, still looking at more rain versus snow. Rain and snow chances stick around for Sunday with an inch of snow possible for our northern counties. More snow across the northern part of the state, where some locations are looking at more than a foot of snow. By late Sunday night, everyone slowly dries out. So any travel plans tomorrow, pay close attention to the forecast and know that roads could be icy.
For the new week, we will be enjoying a dry start. Temperatues will be mild and hovering close to the 40 degree mark. Fortunatley, this upcoming workweek will be nice and quiet with a partly cloudy sky and highs in the 30s.
