We are in for a cold night across most of the state! As the sky clears out and the wind goes calm, temps are going to drop. Most places will wake up to readings in the 20s. Far SE Wisconsin may stay in the lower 30s thanks to the lake and a little bit of higher cloud cover.

Sunshine should dominate most of the sky on Friday. Add that to a Westerly wind and our temps should rebound to near 50 degrees in most cases.

As for the weekend, we're expecting a fair amount of sunshine through the day Saturday. However, Southeast Wisconsin may see clouds and rain by the late afternoon as a system works by to the South.
Sunday brings sunshine and highs in the middle 50s to most areas.

By next week, everything starts to change...
Plan on colder air coming back for Monday through Wednesday. Rain chances go up on Tuesday as well. And in far Northern Wisconsin, snow will mix in. Too early to say how much, but it's something we are watching.

Those making early plans for Halloween: be prepared! It looks like some of the coldest air of the season will drop in. We're talking highs only in the 30s to near 40 degrees (at best) across the state. Plus, we have a shot at some rain and even some more snow. Again, it's still early to nail down the details but I think the cold air is "for sure". We'll continue to monitor trends and see how the rain/snow chance plays out. Those costumes will need coats, hats, and gloves!
