WISCONSIN — The state has gotten a lot of national attention for its role in the 2016 presidential election, but there are also plenty of local organizers in Wisconsin trying to change the political conversation.

That includes efforts to boost turnout among Black voters, which dropped from 2012 to 2016. And other leaders are working to keep issues like police brutality front and center even after Election Day.

Washington correspondent Taurean Small has been examining the unique role of Black voters in Wisconsin, and candidate's efforts to win their support.
