CINCINNATI — Online registration for Cincinnati Parks’ summer camps opens Feb. 22 this year.
The camps allow ages 3-and-a-half and 15-years-old to explore in nature and learn from naturalists. The camps are held in local parks throughout the city, and the one-week adventures include daily hikes, live animal encounters, creative projects and more.
Camp schedules don’t include Juneteenth or Independence Day.
There’s a range of summer programs for different age groups.
Here’s when to register:
- 10 a.m.: Nature Camp in the Parks & Discovery Mornings
- 12 p.m.: Camps at California Woods, LaBoiteaux Woods and Trailside Nature Centers

For campers, here are the expectations:
- Be toilet trained and able to use the toilet without assistance
- Be able to stay with their assigned group with minimal reminders
- Be able to navigate natural terrain including trails, hills and bridges
- Engage appropriately in group activities and maintain self-control in social settings
