MADISON, Wis. — More than 75 Culver’s restaurants across Wisconsin donated a portion of their sales Monday to the Abundant Life Christian School Emergency and Recovery Fund.

At the Culver’s on Cottage Grove Road in Madison, the focus isn’t just on ButterBurgers and custard, it’s on bringing the community together to support families, and a school that has been through so much over the past three weeks.

This Culver's location has close ties to the Abundant Life Christian community.

“I actually know a lot of the faculty and staff there, and my daughters even went there,” said owner Paul Kneubuehl, who has partnered with the school for fundraisers and events for years. “We’ve worked with Abundant Life Christian School since the start of our store here back in 2001.”

Several of his employees also attended Abundant Life Christian School and are still working to process the tragedy.

Customers like Cheri Milton made a special trip to this Culver’s, knowing that 25% of the day’s sales would go directly to people impacted by the school shooting.

“I drove to this one because I know it’s the closest to the school, and I wanted to be a part of it. It was a very tragic situation, and the whole community is supporting them,” Milton said. “I just think this is a wonderful thing that the community has come together, and Culver’s was one of the first to step forward to say we want to help the Abundant Life community.”

For everyone involved, it’s about more than just a meal—it’s about showing the power of community in a time of need.
