MILWAUKEE — As the Wisconsin State Fair approaches, there are a handful of sponsored admission deal days for attendees to take advantage of.
Here’s how to score deals to enter the fairgrounds on specific days:
Aug. 1: Piggly Wiggly $5 Day
Get into the State Fair for $5 when you donate two cans of healthy fruits or vegetables, or make a cash donation at any admission entrance to Hunger Task Force on the fair’s opening day. You will receive a voucher redeemable at the ticket window for $5 admission, with the promotion running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Aug. 2: Celebrate Wisconsin Day
Presented by Travel Wisconsin, out-of-state visitors can buy two adult admission tickets for only $18 (saving a total of $18 on admission) by presenting their IDs at any ticket window from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Aug. 4: Veterans & Military Recognition Day
Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., all military personnel and veterans, as well as up to three family members, will receive free admission when they present a military ID at a State Fair ticket booth.
Aug. 6: Milwaukee Bucks Kid’s Day
Throughout the month of July, kids can receive a free State Fair youth admission ticket after signing up for Bango's Kids Club. Then, on Milwaukee Bucks Kid's Day, join the Milwaukee Bucks for a full day of activities, including performances from the Bucks entertainment groups, the chance to meet Bango and the Wisconsin Herd’s mascot Pointer, music from the team’s DJs, NBA 2K battles and the chance to purchase new gear from the mobile Bucks Pro Shop.
Aug. 7: Meijer Day
If you present your Meijer store receipt of $40 or more at any ticket window, you can save $5 on one adult admission ticket. The purchase must be from a Wisconsin location and between July 2–Aug. 7. The promotion runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Aug. 8: Prairie Farms Dairy Day
Educators are eligible for free admission when they present a school-issued ID or name badge at the ticket window, courtesy of Prairie Farms Dairy, between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
