MILWAUKEE — One person is dead and nine people were injured in a crash involving an MCTS bus in Milwaukee on Saturday night.

According to Milwaukee Police, the crash happened near 35th and Wisconsin, shortly after 9:30 p.m. 

The first vehicle, a car, was traveling southbound and crashed into a Milwaukee County Bus traveling eastbound on W. Wisconsin Ave. The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital for life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the car was pronounced dead on scene.

Six passengers on the MCTS bus were taken to local hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Milwaukee Police said charges against the driver are pending review by the DA's office.

This is the second deadly crash involving an MCTS bus in two days.
